May 2026: What I've Been Working On
This month has felt productive, although later hindered by a heat wave hitting the UK. When the temperature builds in my flat, heat-induced afternoon naps start to become required instead of work.
BookStack
Got v26.05 out the door, which I’m quite pleased with, as a well-rounded release. Just one security release this month, so things are calming down on that side of things, although I’ll be preparing another in the next week or so after further reports.
After getting v26.05, I’ve started another round of increasing our PHPstan level to improve project type checking, as part of improving the project security posture.
IsItReallyFOSS
Really didn’t do much this month, outside of a few re-reviews of existing projects. With the BookStack release out of the way, will try to get into things again in June.
3D Print Models
Just one new model this month, a Greenhouse Door Stopper Rail Clamp. This took some revisions to get right due to the more complex geometry (and needing to walk a little distance for each test evaluation).

danb/rss
Spent a little time on danb/rss this month. Mainly to add a new grid view, which I started to want myself, but also made some other changes like moving the base image to Alpine for smaller containers, and updating the framework/package versions.
Also put out a couple of follow-up releases to make improvements, or fix issues, after the larger v2 set of changes.
Blog Posts
Ended up creating a varied bunch of posts this month:
